According to Tim Graham of the Buffalo News, the Bills are concerned that the concussion Kevin Kolb suffered in the first quarter of Saturday's preseason game against the Redskins may be career-ending. Kolb signed a 2-year deal with the team in the offseason and was in competition with rookie EJ Manuel for the starting job. Kolb seemed to be on his way to becoming the week 1 starter after Manuel injured his knee and was forced to sit the rest of the preseason out.
With the recent injuries to two of the Bills leading quarterbacks the offense now turns to rookie free agent Jeff Tuel. The Bills also signed former first rounder Matt Leinart for an emergency. None the less the news will set the Bills back, but they hope to get Manuel back sometime before the season. As for Kolb, it is to be seen if his career is over, but it is hard to imagine it is not.
