Much of the 2014 NFL Draft hinges on what the Houston Texans decide to do with the number one pick. Do they select their top rated quarterback – Blake Bortles or Teddy Bridgewater? Do they choose to select the best prospect available – JaDeveon Clowney or Khalil Mack? Or they can try and trade the pick and parlay it into more picks, which wouldn’t be so bad considering this group is one of the most talent-laden classes in recent memory.

Free agency, which kicks off on March 11 will also play a large part in determining what positions teams must still address come May 8, but until then here is a look at my first full seven round 2014 NFL Mock Draft.

**This edition doesn’t have many mock trades, because trading up in a class as deep as this is not as beneficial as it would be in past years; however, the Niners are the one team I would fully expect to make some draft day moves, due to the sheer volume of picks they possess and the lack of holes they have to fill

*Note*
I was very tempted to drop a few players outside of the Top 20. Those three players are Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel, Oklahoma State CB Justin Gilbert and North Carolina TE Eric Ebron. I have serious questions surrounding this group.

Manziel was a terrific collegiate quarterback; however, I am unsure if Manziel will have success in the NFL if he is forced to throw from the pocket. If NFL defenses corral and contain him inside the pocket will he be effective? His passing ability combined with his stature and work ethic make me question the type of success he will attain at the next level.

Gilbert was not a lock-down corner in college, and though he has the speed and ability to be an elite corner, I question whether he has the toughness, attitude or work ethic to be a premier shut down corner in the NFL.

My concern for Ebron is simple: his hands. He dropped far too many passes for the Tar Heels last season, especially when considering how gifted he is. Was last season’s case of the “dropsies” a fluke or a sign of things to come at the next level?
