Here the Major Free Agent Signings and Trade Rumors with a Fantasy Hockey Projection:

1. Name: Mike Cammalleri | Age: 35 years

Salary: 1 years | $1M

Team: Los Angeles Kings

Overview: The highly touted winger in LA was a superstar during his early career. Cammalleri put up 80 points at one point. Now he will return to LA on a one year deal. I have always liked Mike and the way he plays, he's a speedy winger who goes into those dirty areas and has knack for putting the puck into the net. The only problem is, he's never played a full 82 game season in his entire career posing the question will he be injury prone in the 2017-2018 NHL year? If he doesn't then he'll likely slot into the LW position in the Kings Top 6 which means he could be playing with Anze Kopitar or Jeff Carter.

Projection: If Cammalleri can stay in the Kings Top 6 without injuries, I project him to get 50-60 points scoring 25 goals. Which won't be hard as he's been a consistent 20 goal scorer.

2. Name: Scott Hartnell  | Age: 35 years

Salary: 1 years | $1M

Team: Nashville Predators

Overview: After scoring 13 goals and 24 assists in 78 games last season with the Columbus Blue Jackets, he is on his way back to where he started... the Nashville Predators. In Columbus he played in the Top 9 primarily with Sam Gagner, now he moves to a Top 6 role filling the void of James Neal who was taken by the Vegas Golden Knights in the Expansion Draft. Now he will likely see the likes of Nick Bonino or Mike Fisher on his line. In terms of Fantasy Hartnell poses a solid point contributor, he's had 60 point seasons before.

Projection: I project Hartnell to have close to 20 goals and about 20 assists, but will likely have 80-100 PIM and 100-150 Hits which is good if your Pool counts those categories.

3. Name: Brian Elliott | Age: 32 years

Salary: 2 years | $2.75M

Team: Philadelphia Flyers

Overview: It must be hard going to your 3rd team in 2 years. First he moved from the St. Louis Blues where he battled with Jake Allen for the start in goal while posting a .930 SV% and 2.07 GAA in his last 42 games. He was brought over to the Calgary Flames last season in hopes to solidify CGY backend. Unfortunately he was never able to take over only posting .910 SV% and having a 2.55 GAA in 49 games. This is decent but he wasn't the same Elliott we saw in St. Louis. Now he goes to the Philadelphia Flyers who've had problems solidifying their goaltending situation as well. With Steve Mason leaving for the Winnipeg Jets, Elliott will have plenty of chances to prove himself. Good fact to know here, Elliott has won at least 23 games in his past 3 seasons.

Projection: I project Elliott to play in a minimum of 35-45 games while having a .920 SV% and 2.25 GAA. In terms of wins he'll likely have 20-25 wins. If you can draft him with your 9th/10th pick then i'd consider that a steal. There is potential here.

4. Name: Evgeny Dadonov | Age: 28 years

Salary: 3 years | $4M

Team: Florida Panthers

Overview: The Panthers 3rd round Pick in the 2007 NHL Draft Evgeny Dadonov is coming back to the NHL after playing in the KHL for 5 years. He comes back to the NHL where he had 10 goals, and 10 assists in 55 games. At the time he was only in his early 20's. He wasn't matured yet and was smaller than he already his standing at a 5'10" + 178 pounds. In the KHL Dadonov consistently got better. In the past 3 seasons he had 46+ points and scored 30 goals in 2016-2017. Now he comes over to Florida where he will take over Jaromir Jagr Top 6 spot. So we will see him play with either Alexander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau or Vincent Trocheck. Both of these Centers will excel Dadonov's game to the point where he can be a Top contributor.

Projection: I project Dadonov to get anywhere between 50-60 points next season. Possibly scoring 30 goals if he finds chemistry on his new team.

5. Name: Chris Tanev to Toronto Maple Leafs/Boston Bruins | Age: 27 years

Salary: 5 years | $4.45M

Team: Vancouver Canucks

Overview: Currently slotted in as the Canucks number one RD, Chris Tanev has one role on Vancouver and that's to be a top shutdown guy. However with the way the Canucks season went last year it's not a shock to hear his name in the Rumor Mill. Multiple teams are looking for a Righty including the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins. Again we will see James Van Riemsdyk and a 1st/2nd Round Pick offered up or David Krejci possibly. Tanev had 10 points in 53 games last season, but notably 166 blocks in 2015-2016.
