Here are Fantasy Hockey Analysis on the Major Offseason Players and Trade Rumors:

1. Name: Nico Hischier | Age: 18 years

Salary: N/A years | $N/AM

Team: New Jersey Devils

Overview: The Devils took Hischier 1st Overall in the 2017 NHL Draft. It was to a shock of some people as Nolan Patrick was the favorite for the most of the year. Nico really started to turn head at the World Junior U18 where he went off for 6 points in 5 games and 7 points in 5 games at the U20 for Team Switzerland. The scouts started to take note and he slowly rose until he reached the top. In total Nico had 38 goals and 48 assists in 57 games last season. Most by a rookie in the QJMHL. Nico is described as a playmaker who makes others around him better. He can drive a line and has an elite skill set something New Jersey hasn't had for while since Zach Parise. Projection puts up in the Top Line Center role and while he won't be expected to put up Auston Matthews type numbers in his rookie season, wouldn't be a shock if he is a contributor playing alongside Taylor Hall and Kyle Palmieri.

Projection: I project Hischier to get anywhere in range of 50-60 points next season. This will he more than some people will say but I can't see him getting any less playing with Taylor Hall.

2. Name: Nolan Patrick | Age: 18 years

Salary: N/A years | $N/AM

Team: Philadelphia Flyers

Overview: At the young age of 18 years Nolan Patrick was selected 2nd Overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2017 NHL Draft. Now Patrick was injured for most of last season playing in only 33 games but he still had 46 points and recently put up 102 points in 72 games in 2015-2016. Scouts had him as #1 going into the year but things once he got injured. It's important to note here, people still had him as #1 on Draft Day so the Flyers may have gotten a steal at #2. Patrick has incredible Hockey IQ with the ability to impact the game with and without the puck we will likely see him on the PP & PK plus playing Top 6 minutes. His potential line-mates may include Wayne Simmonds and Jordan Weal. Two players who into the dirty areas and play the game hard.

Projection: I project the same for Nolan Patrick. Somewhere in the 50-60 point range, scoring more goals and have more SOG than Hischisr however.

3. Name: Jacob Trouba to Maple Leafs/Habs | Age: 23 years

Salary: 2 years | $2.8M

Team: Winnipeg Jets

Overview: The Winnipeg Jets are always looking to improve. After failing to make the post-season last year the Jets may look to move Jacob Trouba who's been in the Rumor Mill for time now. They have depth at the RD position with Dustin Byfuglien and Tyler Myers, so moving Trouba for a Top 6 LW wouldn't be such a bad move. Some link him to the Toronto Maple Leafs or Montreal Canadiens who would really enjoy his skills. They both were in on Travis Hamonic so we could see a similar offer sent to the Jets. Possibly James Van Riemsdyk or Alex Galchenyuk.

4. Name: Radim Vrbata | Age: 36 years

Salary: 1 years | $2.5M

Team: Florida Panthers

Overview: Remember when Vrbata played in Vancouver and scored 31 goals and 32 assists while playing with the Sedins? Well I do and that was only two year ago. While he's slowed down, last season he posted 55 points in 81 games which is nothing to look past on. He signed a one year deal with Florida where he will receive Top 6 minuted playing with Alexander Barkov or Vincent Trocheck. A clear upgrade to his Centers in Arizona last season. Florida is a contender who will challenge for a Playoff spot.

Projection: I project Vrbata to get 20-25 goals and 20-25 assists. He isn't injury prone and also puts up lots of shots. Last season he has 233 SOG with a 8.6 S%. This will go up in Florida next season. I'd take him with one of my last few picks as a depth Fantasy player.

5. Name: Trevor Daley | Age: 33 years

Salary: 3 years | $3.16M

Team: Detroit Red Wings

Overview: The back to back Stanley Cup Champion is taking his talents to the Hockey City of Detroit for at least 3 years. Once Free Agency opened Daley signed with the Red Wings. DET defense isn't the best it has been in the past with Brendan Smith leaving as well. Daley will slot into Detroits Top 4 while receiving some PP time. Last season he had 19 points, 20.23 min TOI, and 83 Blocks. While this isn't flashy for Fantasy I think Daley will take on a more offensive role with the Red Wings.

Projection: I project Daley to get around 25 points next season and at least 75 Blocks. If your league counts TOI as a category this guy is great as 20 min wont be too far fetched for next season. He's a waiver wire pick up.
