Fantasy Hockey Roundup:

Here are a few players to look out for in the upcoming 2017-2018 NHL Regular Season in terms of Fantasy and DFS!

1. Jake Guentzel: After a magnificent Playoff performance being among the Top Goal Scorers, Guentzel is set to play on one of the Top 2 lines next season. We will likely see him alongside Sidney Crosby who he has had instant chemistry with. Many of you might jump the gun on him but it's important to note while he's projected to do well, there are tons of others players on the Pittsburgh Penguins that can score which may bury Jake in the depth.

If Guentzel is available with your 6th or 8th pick then it'd be smart to pick him up, especially if you took Crosby and want to have a Duo. He's a pure goal scorer and can get you lots of SOG and PPP.

2. Nikolaj Ehlers: Many have forgot about this guy and the Winnipeg Jets. They were a high scoring team considering their Top 2 lines. You're going to see Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler get picked high but Ehlers is the real sleeper here. Picked 9th overall in his Draft year, Ehlers amassed 25 goals, 39 assists for a total of 64 points in the 2016-2017 season.

He will be playing with the likes of Scheifele and Little which is a recipe for success. Maybe pick him alongside a guy like Jake Guentzel.

3. Matt Duchene: This guy has been tossed around in TONS of NHL Trade Rumors. Many see him as the odd guy out, even Bob McKenzie went as far to say as he's the one guy who will be traded this offseason. Some have linked him to the New York Islanders but any trade would be good for this guy.

Both sides need a fresh start and I feel as if a new team for Duchene will get him going again. He will not be picked very high so be sure to note him down for the later rounds and maybe he'll become the 70 point monster he was before.

4. Charlie McAvoy: Now here is a guy who was taken 14th overall in the 2016 NHL Draft by the Boston Bruins. He wasn't a flashy pick but many saw this as a win for the B's. He's skilled with the puck, isn't afraid to jump up but understands when to stay back.

With 3 points in 6 playoff games, McAvoy stepped up to the plate when the Bruins defense was depleted. Many counted out the Bruins backend out when they faced the Senators but Charlie jumped in and played heavy minutes in the crucial Playoff games. He took control of the game while carrying some of Zdeno Chara's load. He's projected to take Big Z's role in the future. Wait to take this guy as he could also be a early season waiver add.

5. Ben Bishop: Who would've though the previous Stanley Cup Finals goaltender would be traded not once but TWICE this past season. First he was moved by the Tampa Bay Lightning to the LA Kings who were looking to make a Playoff run, after failing to do so they traded him to the Dallas Stars. Both times was due to the upcoming Expansion Draft.

The Stars BIGGEST issue was their Goaltending and Defense this past season. Niemi and Lehtonen weren't able to provide them relief and it seems as if the Stars are looking to solidify their net with a proven #1 starter. Bishop could turn heads as he could ride the past Playoff Dallas Stars back to where they belong. Use this pick as a backup plan when the other starting goalies are gone.
