Last night the Cavs went into Washington with a 4-game losing streak. Losing to the Brooklyn Nets, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks at home & Indiana Pacers at home. Their defense suffered the most allowing 118.2 points per game, by far the worst in the NBA during that stretch. One way to end that losing streak is to have the best player in the world go nuclear & see what happens from there.

That's what LeBron James did scoring 57 points (Tying a Franchise record set by Kyrie Irving when he scored 57 vs. the Spurs in 2015) in 130-122 win vs. the Wizards on 23-34 shooting, 2-4 from 3, 9-9 from the FT line,  11 rebounds & 7 assists in 43 minutes. 19 of his 57 points came in the 4th quarter & during that 12-minute stretch, LeBron only made 1 three. Other than that, most of his points came from the low block/post area....a part of his game where he's been improving on for some time now. There where times where he posted up & was looking for the double team but for whatever reason, Washington never sent 2 guys towards his way throughout the game. Based on guarding LeBron 1-on-1, he scored most of his points on John Wall (16 points on 7-13 shooting). John is good defensively but to have your point guard defend 6'8" 250 without a 2nd guy coming in to help isn't the best way to defend LeBron James.

LeBron spoke after becoming the youngest player (32 years old) in NBA to score over 29,000 points:

"I might be the youngest but I don't feel young. Even tho I feel this is the best I've felt in my career right now. So you know I just gotta keep it going."

76ers small forward/power forward Ben Simmons who's signed with LeBron's sports agency Klutch Sports talked about LeBron's historic performance:

"That's a lot of points. He's one of the guys I looked up to as a leader. He's really paved the way for a lot of players. The work ethic he puts in is just amazing, but that really pushes me to wanna get better & get to that level. But 57 points, that's a lot of points."
