Cleveland Browns @ Dallas Cowboys
1:00PM
DAL -4 (-109)
O/U 56 (-110)
The Cowboys are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as favorites.
The UNDER is 4-0 in the past 4 meetings.
The Browns are 0-7 SU and ATS in their last 7 road games.
Cleveland News & Notes
The Browns have not been overly impressive in winning their last two games at home vs Cincinnati and Washington, going 1-1 ATS with the OVER cashing both times.
The challenge for them now will be trying to find a way to earn a rare victory away from home, something that has not happened since they stunned the Baltimore Ravens 40-25 as 7-point road underdogs in last year’s regular-season opener.
Cleveland’s recent success can be attributed to a balanced offense and particularly a strong running game that has kept quarterback Baker Mayfield from having to do too much. Running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt have combined to form arguably the best duo in the league, and Mayfield has not had to force throws in an effort to make plays himself. If Chubb and Hunt can continue to run hard, the Browns can be competitive here.
Cleveland are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games.
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Cleveland's last 7 games.
Cleveland are 2-4 SU in their last 6 games.
Cleveland are 1-6 SU in their last 7 games against Dallas.
Dallas News & Notes
If the Houston Texans have played the toughest early schedule in the AFC, then the Cowboys may have earned that distinction so far in the NFC.
Dallas has had to play the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks away from home in two of the first three weeks and needed to rally back from a 15-point deficit in the last five minutes to beat the Atlanta Falcons 40-39 at home in Week 2. All three of the team’s games have been decided by seven points or less following a 38-31 loss at Seattle last Sunday.
The Cowboys led the Seahawks 31-30 with 3:59 remaining but simply could not stop NFL MVP favorite Russell Wilson, who threw his fifth touchdown pass with 1:47 left to win it and then added the two-point conversion. Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 472 yards in the loss and must get more help from running back Ezekiel Elliott (34 yards).
Dallas are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games.
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Dallas' last 7 games.
Dallas are 3-6 SU in their last 9 games.
The total has gone OVER in 4 of Dallas' last 5 games at home.
Buffalo Bills @ Las Vegas Raiders
BUF -3 (-110)
O/U 53 (-108)
The Bills are 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as favorites.
The Raiders are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games.
The OVER is 6-0 in the past 6 meetings (avg. 55.83 points).
Buffalo News & Notes
The Bills have lived up to the preseason hype so far, although they have needed to rally in the fourth quarter to win each of their last two games after blowing leads.
Buffalo has quarterback Josh Allen to thank for that, as he has put himself in the early NFL MVP conversation with 1,038 passing yards, 10 touchdowns and only one interception. Allen threw four touchdown passes and ran for another score in a 35-32 win over the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday, but it should not have been that close because the Bills led 28-3 early in the third quarter before surrendering 29 unanswered points.
While Buffalo still managed to cover the spread as a 1.5-point home favorite, the team’s backers had to sweat it out until the very end. The Bills scored the game-winning touchdown with 15 seconds left, as Allen found tight end Tyler Kroft in the end zone for the second time.
Buffalo are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games.
The total has gone OVER in 4 of Buffalo's last 6 games.
Buffalo are 13-7 SU in their last 20 games.
Buffalo are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games against Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Notes
The Raiders saw a sweet start against the New England Patriots turn sour in the second half last Sunday, falling 36-20 and failing to cover as 7-point road underdogs.
Las Vegas trailed just 13-10 at halftime after scoring a touchdown with six seconds remaining in the second quarter and had an opportunity to tie the game early in the third. But kicker Daniel Carlson missed a 41-yard field-goal attempt that seemingly turned the tide of the game. New England got a touchdown on its next possession and went on to score 23 of the next 26 points to turn a close game into a rout.
The Raiders were playing on a short week, though, and saw their two best offensive players struggle, with running back Josh Jacobs rushing for 71 yards and tight end Darren Waller totaling only nine yards on two catches. Jacobs (hip) and Waller (knee) were both listed as questionable on the injury report before the game, and quarterback Derek Carr will need each of them to be better in Week 4.
Las Vegas are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games.
Las Vegas are 3-6 SU in their last 9 games.
The total has gone OVER in 6 of Las Vegas' last 6 games against Buffalo.
Las Vegas are 7-3 SU in their last 10 games at home.
Phuladelphia Eagles @ San Francisco 49ers
SF -7.5 (-112)
O/U 45 (-110)
Philadelphia is 7-1 ATS in its last 8 games vs San Francisco.
The OVER is 5-0 in Philadelphia’s last 5 road games.
The 49ers are 15-5 SU in their last 20 games.
Philadelphia News & Notes
Carson Wentz’s struggles this season have some of the Philly faithful calling for a change at quarterback. Wentz, who has thrown just seven interceptions in each of the last three seasons, has six through three games and just three touchdowns. He is sporting a paltry 35.5 QBR on the year, good for 29th in the league.
It does not help that his arsenal of weapons is riddled with injuries. Receiver Alshon Jeffery has yet to play a game. Rookie first-round wideout Jalen Reagor is out indefinitely. And tight end Dallas Goedert and receiver DeSean Jackson both left Week 3’s game with injuries. Goedert has already been ruled out for Week 4.
The lone bright spot for Philly is a defense that has allowed the sixth-fewest yards per game. The Eagles’ ferocious defensive front presents a tough matchup for the 49ers.
Philadelphia are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games.
Philadelphia are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games against San Francisco.
Philadelphia are 6-2 SU in their last 8 games against San Francisco.
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Philadelphia's last 5 games on the road.
San Francisco News & Notes
The 49ers won 36-9 on the road in Week 3 without their starting quarterback, top two running backs, star tight end, multiple starting defensive linemen and top cornerback. That game may say more about the New York Giants, but the Niners have proven to be a deep, quality team with a masterful coaching staff.
While the Eagles defense is a tough matchup for backup QB Nick Mullens, San Francisco has shown the ability to scheme its way to victory through creative play-calling. As one of the last men standing, look for first-round rookie speedster Brandon Aiyuk to get plenty of looks. Aiyuk was used in a variety of ways in Week 3, posting five receptions for 70 yards and three carries for 31 yards and a touchdown.
San Francisco are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games.
San Francisco are 15-5 SU in their last 20 games.
The total has gone OVER in 7 of San Francisco's last 10 games against Philadelphia.
San Francisco are 8-3 SU in their last 11 games at home.
